Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 September 2026
BFT Solutions Limited (“BFT”, “we”, “us”) operates BFT Learn, our learning platform for course enrolment, live classes, assessment and certification. This policy explains what information we collect from learners, lecturers and administrators, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store or can read your actual password).
- Course activity — enrolments, lesson and assignment progress, quiz results, attendance at live classes, messages with your lecturer, and any files you upload (assignment submissions, course materials).
- Enrolment & payment status — which courses you’ve chosen and whether payment for them has been confirmed by an administrator. We do not collect or store card, bank or other payment-instrument details anywhere in BFT Learn — payment is arranged and confirmed outside the platform.
- Live class data — if your course runs on Microsoft Teams, we receive attendance records and the class recording from Microsoft so they can appear in your course.
- Device & sign-in data — a sign-in session kept on your device so you don’t have to log in repeatedly, and basic technical information (browser type, general error details) if something goes wrong.
- AI revision assistant — if enabled for your course, the questions you ask and the answers given are stored against your account so you can revisit the conversation. This feature is optional and, when active, is limited strictly to your own enrolled course material.
2. How we use it
- To run your account, enrolments and access to paid course content.
- To schedule and run live classes, mark attendance, and make recordings available to your course.
- To mark assignments and quizzes, calculate your progress, and issue certificates.
- To send you course-related email — class invitations and reminders, assignment feedback, account verification and password resets.
- To keep the platform secure and working, including automated error monitoring.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run BFT Learn, each only for the specific purpose below:
- Microsoft (Teams / Microsoft 365) — to create and run live classes, record attendance, retrieve recordings, and send course email, where your course uses Microsoft Teams.
- Our hosting provider — to run the application and store data securely.
- Error-monitoring service (Sentry) — to alert us automatically when something breaks, so we can fix it quickly. This captures technical error details, not your course content.
- AI provider — only if the AI revision assistant is switched on for your course, your question and the relevant course material are sent to the provider to generate an answer. No other learner data is shared with it.
We do not share your personal information with any other third party without telling you, except where required by law.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account and course records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legitimate business, legal or record-keeping purposes (for example, maintaining the record behind an issued certificate).
5. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop processing it, by emailing info@bftsolutionslimited.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. (An in-app “delete my account” option is planned for a future release.)
6. Children
BFT Learn is a professional training platform intended for adult learners and is not directed at children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BFT Learn evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
